Claus G. Bauer
President and Founder of Paradise English Boracay

I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to Paradise English and our Paradise English family!

I have experienced teaching in many countries and feel spending time with students is a great privilege and honor. Many students have given me an in-depth insight and understanding not only of themselves but also their culture. It is with great pride to say we have had students from over 40 countries attend our Programs!

Being a life long learner also makes me realize everyone learns differently and at different speeds. When coming here or to any other new place, be positive, flexible and willing to learn something new with an open and non judgemental attitude. Regardless of your ability we will always encourage everyone to learn and try to help you make the most of your learning experience in paradise. Every teacher at Paradise English is dedicated to helping students succeed and truly believe they can help everyone learn English.

Boracay is one of the most beautiful and unique places to learn and live. It is a great opportunity but also a great responsibility to remain flexible and have a patient attitude. Things will always be different from what you expect so expect nothing and be open to everything. Studying in a foreign country is one way people of the world learn from each other. The chance to learn has always been one of the main reasons to study abroad. I believe there is a place for everyone at Paradise English – with the goal “to learn English and learn about yourself”.

I look forward to having you study with us and spending time with you. I also count on your help and feedback.

If you have any suggestions or questions please do not hesitate to email us at info@paradiseenglish.com.

Sincerely,

Claus G. Bauer

I only ask that when you join the Paradise English family you do so with an open mind, and a wonderful experience will follow.

Paradise English has an “OPEN DOOR” policy and all staff members are available to assist students.

As a former student of English, much like you may be now, I have also studied English in America and Australia for one and half years so I understand how beginners feel about English when they first start to study. I not only know what is the best way to learn English but also how to overcome difficulties students may have in studying. I'm able to counsel students accomplishing their goals successfully.

Many students come to Boracay to study English and learn different cultures because Boracay is by far one of the world's best islands with a variety western and Filipino cultures. Students will learn English in a perfect environment and have a lot of chances to talk with native speakers.

We are always open to everybody. Come here and be a member of Paradise English on Boracay!

Hi there! I’ve been teaching the English language since 2007 I started in Baguio City before I was hired by Paradise English in October of 2008 up to the present. I started speaking the English language when I was six years old and further honed it in grade school until I graduated from college. One of the things that make me proud to be a Filipino is the fact that I belong to the third largest English speaking country in the world next to the United States and the United Kingdom.
At PE, students get to speak with different teachers from several different countries, learn from each others’ culture and at the same time enjoy the life and fun that Boracay has to offer that makes studying at PE amazing and fruitful.

Teaching is a challenging job, It requires patience, understanding and passion. I feel very priviledged to be able to impart knowledge to others, in their pursuit of learning. I feel that you don,t just help, you become part of their future success.

Peter (England)

After having travelled all around Asia i decided to move and base myself in Phuket in the south of Thailand. I spent two years working in the fishing industry , i then decided to try teaching which i enjoyed so much that i have now been an esl teacher for the last four years. I did my TEFL training course in Patong, Phuket and after completing the course i was then offered a job there teaching adults, mainly one to one lessons and a few group classes.

I see myself as a friendly, confident, passionate and very patient teacher. I have now taught students from various countries in Europe and Asia, ranging from very basic beginner up to advanced level English. I really enjoyed my time in Thailand but decided after five years that it was time to try and experience somewhere new and so made my decision to move to Boracay Island five months ago as the Philippines was a country i had been meaning to visit for a while and i definitely have no regrets. I have settled down here now and it finally feels like home!

My hobbies include fishing, swimming, sailing, diving as well as fire dancing!

I have been working in Paradise English since July 2010. I taught English to kids when I was in university. It was a fun experience for me because it made me realize that I have a passion for teaching English.
For me, English is a very interesting language because it connects people all over the world. It cuts all kinds of barriers. It's my greatest dream to live in a world where people can understand each other.
I'm happy to impart my knowledge and passion for this language to those who are interested to learn it.

Rudelyn "Lyn"
Bachelor of Secondary Education
Tutor

When I was young, I really had a passion for teaching. Before joining Paradise English I taught English for a year in Iloilo City. I teach grammar, conversation and vocabulary. English is easy if the passion comes from the heart and every second language is really hard to learn but if you have the determination and patience, everything else will just follow.

I've been teaching English for more than 4 years. As a teacher, it is very important to know the student's weaknesses in order to improve their language skills. With the proper guidance students can achieve their goals. When students improve their skills it makes the teacher very proud. Grammar, conversation and survival English are some of the lessons I teach at Paradise English.

John (Canada)
Language Instructor

Throughout my career as a Chartered Accountant and professional manager in Canada, I continually found myself teaching English to my international associates. Be it to get results or just engage in banter I enjoyed the exchange and challenge associated with teaching. To add a new dimension to that experience I changed direction in my career and now, after teaching at a private boarding school in China, I am here in Paradise-what better place for students to enhance their English education!

Marlon
Bachelor of Arts - Sociology
Language Instructor

After graduating from the University of Florida I did social work and worked in the financial sector for many years. At the time of the Global Financial Crisis I reassessed my career choice. I became a teacher of High School Biology before I decided to travel the world. While traveling I met many people and have seen the importance of the English language. That is why I decided to become an English Language Instructor. As the son of the two teachers I relish any opportunity to help improve people's knowledge and ability to communicate effectively. This can be a source of self-empowerment. I believe the world is your classroom and that learning should be fun. At Paradise English you get to interact with students of the world in a friendly small group setting designed to help you achieve your goals.
Besides my passion for teaching I have a passion for basketball, which is quickly becoming a world game, and Pop Culture, which has a strong influence from America's Hollywood. Both of which are dominated by the World Language-English.

Destiny is not a matter of chance but a matter of CHOICE. I do believe that I'm destined to be a teacher. This is is really my choice and my dream since then. Even though it is not easy to be a teacher, it is a rewarding and fulfilling job.
I graduated from West Visayas State University and has been a licensed teacher since 2009. I have been teaching international students since 2007. As a teacher I can say that I have a great concern regarding the students' difficulties, both academic as well as personal. In my opinion, studying English is not all about theory, you should apply it in your daily life. English is interesting although sometimes it's complicated. I believe I possess a great problem solving attitude and ability to counsel students in overcoming their educational obstacles. My four years of teaching experience are some of the best years of my life. I am happy to be a part of my students lives and somehow help them reach their goals.

Jing
Bachelor of Business Administration - Marketing

Before joining Paradise English team, I have been a resort marketing manager, professional blogger, call center agent, fastfood shop manager, and hotel front office supervisor. All these jobs had helped a lot in honing my English conversational and pronounciation skills. My hobbies such as reading English novels, watching Hollywood movies and listening to songs with English lyrics plus my zeal for continous learning help a lot in further developing my command of the  English grammar and vocabulary.

It feels amazing to bridge the gap and connect with other people from different countries and various cultures by simply communicating through the use of the English language. Paradise English has given me the perfect opportunity to make me realize my secret passion to be a teacher and to help spread the wonderful benefits of teaching, learning and using English as a second language. Not to mention the perk of living in one of the best beaches in the world-Boracay! :-)
